What's with the rain we've been having in the NorthEast? I don't remember seeing weather forecasts predicting so many inches of rain in my life. The last couple of storms precipitated enough inches to make a respectable snowstorm.

The personal result is 3.5 lost days of work, 20-30 hours cleaning up, a new water heater, shop-vac, and dehumidifier, losing a lot of irreplaceable paperwork, and a still-musty basement. Now I need to do what I can to recover and prevent it from happening again.
